Marketing Committee — Gonka Community Contributor Team
An overview of the current Gonka Marketing Committee format: its role, scope of work, contributors, reporting, and collaboration with the community, teams, and Foundation.
Gonka Marketing Committee is a group of contributors working on marketing initiatives for Gonka.
The committee has been operating in its current composition and format since August 1, 2026. This document describes the work of the current committee and does not apply to the decisions or activities of previous groups.
The current committee was formed by community members who were already reviewing marketing proposals and providing feedback on them.
Our task is to help the community better understand marketing initiatives and provide substantive feedback on them.
The committee works in an advisory and operational format: it helps the community with marketing initiatives, but it does not have separate governance authority, does not manage the network treasury, and does not replace the Foundation. The name “Marketing Committee” does not mean that this is the only possible committee or team in the marketing field.
Other marketing committees, teams, and working groups may appear in the Gonka ecosystem, including groups with similar or overlapping functions. The committee is open to collaborating with them.
As the Foundation and new teams emerge, the committee’s tasks and operating model may change.
What the committee does
The Marketing Committee may participate in the following areas:
- helping onboard new marketing proposals, preparing feedback on them, and providing recommendation reports to miners and the community;
- participating in follow-up on funded initiatives and assessing their progress;
- evaluating whether results correspond to approved proposals, deliverables, KPIs, and the current community roadmap;
- informing the community about the progress of initiatives, results, issues, and material changes;
- preparing reports, evaluations, and analytical materials on marketing initiatives;
- identifying uncovered tasks and gaps in marketing work;
- proposing additions and updates to the community roadmap in marketing and related areas;
- holding AMA sessions and other open discussions when needed;
- proposing initiatives, research, pilots, and tests of marketing hypotheses that may be useful for the network’s development.
The committee is not the only party that can perform these tasks. Other contributors, teams, and the Foundation may also participate in this work.
The committee’s recommendations and assessments are not mandatory for the network.
The committee determines the scope and format of its work independently, taking into account the community’s current needs, available funding, and the capacity of its participants. This list describes possible areas of contribution, not a mandatory workload.
Committee membership
The committee includes contributors who:
- regularly participate in its work;
- have relevant experience or are ready to take responsibility for specific tasks;
- are ready to work together with other group members.
Any contributor may propose joining the committee. The decision to add a new member is made by the current participants, taking into account actual involvement, relevant experience, and readiness to take on work.
One participant may act as coordinator. The coordinator organizes the group’s work but does not receive any additional authority in Gonka governance.
The coordinator is chosen by the current committee participants and may be replaced by their joint decision.
Advisors and mentors may be involved in specific tasks without becoming committee members.
Ending participation
Participation in the committee may end:
- voluntarily, by the participant’s own decision;
- if a person does not participate in the committee’s work for a long period or systematically fails to fulfill commitments they have taken on;
- in the event of a serious violation that materially harms Gonka, the committee, or trust in their work.
A decision to remove a participant should not be based only on personal disagreements, criticism, or a different position on working issues.

Reports
If the committee’s work is funded through an active proposal, the committee publishes reports for the relevant period. During other periods, reports may be published at the committee’s discretion.
Reports on funded activity include:
- the main work and tasks completed by the committee;
- results and the expected effect for the Gonka ecosystem;
- how the actual work corresponds to the goals, deliverables, and KPIs stated in the proposal;
- material deviations, issues, and changes during the work;
- funding and main expenses;
- links to prepared documents, research, reports, and other materials that can be published;
- when needed, a list of additional materials that can be provided upon request.
Current reports:
- August 2026 — August report
- September 2026 — expected
- October 2026 — expected

Participation and collaboration
The current committee composition was formed for the current tasks and workload.
As new tasks appear, the committee may invite new participants — primarily contributors who are already active in the Gonka ecosystem and have relevant experience in marketing or related areas.
The committee is also open to collaborating with individual contributors, teams, and experts without requiring them to formally join the committee.
Participation in the committee does not by itself mean a paid role. A paid role or function is possible only if it is separately included in a proposal and receives community support.
For collaboration questions, you can contact any committee member.
